Its one thing to be so free that you are able to pack up and go whenever the Lord says to. That is a great benefit of singleness. However, I have, more so, realized these past few months that singleness is no longer a part of my life. It is a very big deal to move a family to another place and to take on the stresses that come along with that. While you don't question God's faithfulness in provision, you still wonder how he will provide - you know he has ways that we still haven't begun to imagine.More...

It's late on Saturday night.  My heart has been heavy in prayer.  I have been designing websites lately to supplement my income so that I can continue sharing the Gospel.  After much prayer, meditation and reflection, my wife and I know that I would never be completely happy unless I'm on the streets sharing the Gospel full-time.  The streets are much more than simply a call - it's a burden.  In theological circles these two are often left separated.  While I do believe they are separate, I also believe they are one and the same; the call and the burden work hand in hand.  The Church has a corporate calling and every Christian has an individual calling, or vocation; and, our burden directs and refines our Lord's specific call on our lives. So, after this time of prayer, we've decided that I'm leaving the website world in order to strictly engage in evangelism once again.  In order to do this, I have begun to increase my support raising efforts.  A few people, with all best intentions, still ask questions such as, "Why don't you get a job and share the Gospel in your free time?" This blog entry is my feeble attempt to bring the answer to light. More...

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up about another benefit in blogging.  As you visit my website, you will see a box located below each article.  One of the headings inside the box is labeled "Tags."  Occasionally, I will write a few tags in this field.  Tags are specifically for search engines.

For example... I just posted an article about Kyle who is struggling with drug addiction.  In the "tags" field, I added keyphrases such as "twelve step process," "overcoming drugs," etc. Therefore, when someone goes, let's say to Google, and searches for "twelve step process," hopefully my site will be one of the sites returned.

I chose the domain name "starveme.com" because you'd be surprised how many people search for terms like, "starve me," "how to starve yourself," etc.  I get visitors all the time searching for these key phrases.  My prayer is that I can not only offer encouragement to ya'll, but also encouragement (and salvation) to others through my website.  I receive e-mails all the time from people who have read my "salvation" page and have been encouraged. I just received one last week.

By the way, if you go to Google and search for "starve me"  I'm the first page that comes up.  Praise God!
